Position Responsibilities - Summary:

Reports to the Reporting Manager - This key contributor will:

- Develop effective, performance-driven T-SQL (Transact-SQL) ad-hoc
queries, stored procedures, functions and schemas in a SQL Server 2005
environment

- Develop SQL Server Integration Services Packages

- Design and implement supporting data structures for reporting
infrastructure

- Identify, troubleshoot and redevelop existing, poorly performing
T-SQL

- Properly identify required supporting indexes

- Assist in the design of data warehouse

Required Skills and Competencies:

Technical Skills:

- BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience

- Advanced T-SQL (Transact-SQL) / Advanced query design

- Advanced ability to retrieve data using tables, queries, views,
stored procedures, and other data structures

- Performance tuning and optimization of queries using query plans

- Data warehousing and business intelligence concepts

- Database design - Database Indexing Strategies

- Microsoft SQL Server 2005 - Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services 2005 (SSRS) - Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services (SSAS) - Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)

- Microsoft Business Intelligence Development Studio

- Strong knowledge of database concepts including relational
models, transformation, and normalization

- Integrated reporting architectures including report authoring,
report management, report delivery, report security - Ability to create
report models

- Visual Studio .net

- C# - .Net Development experience

Business and Analysis Skills:

- Ability to translate business requirements and database schemas
into reporting data structures

- Ability to understand complex applications and their related
schemas

- Ability to translate reporting requirements into reusable
components

- Work closely with Report Developer

Background and Experience:

- 5+ years experience developing complex business logic using
Transact SQL

- 5+ years experience writing SQL Server Stored Procedures,
Functions Triggers and DDL

- 2+ years of specific SQL Server 2005 development experience
