Role: CEO - Telecommunications Equipment Supplier Startup

HiWire has been retained to find a stellar, industry-recognized CEO for an exciting telecommunications equipment supplier in the south San Francisco Bay Area. This startup is well financed by top-quality VCs and a strategic
corporate investor. Product shipments are ramping and the company is in numerous trials with wireless carriers in the US, Europe and Asia. Reporting to the Board of Directors and working closely with the Founder and the rest of the management team, the CEO will be responsible for setting the company’s direction, developing clear and focused strategies for growing the company, its revenues and achieving profitability.

Primary requirements for the CEO include:

>> Previous CEO experience with a successful exit (acquisition or IPO)
>> Previous startup experience (and the passion to do it again)
>> Strong telecom sales background and a deep rolodex built from successfully selling to the cellular base station market, wireless carriers, cable MSOs and telecom infrastructure OEMs
>> MS degree in CS or EE; MBA preferred
