Position: IT QA Engineer
Location: Washington DC

Education Requirements: BA/BS or equivalent experience/combined education,
with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional
experience with a related Masters degree.

Job Description:
- Support program-wide QA (audit/review of help desk, server
maintenance, incident response process/procedures.etc

- Work closely with Engineers, Service Area Leads, and Managers in a
matrix environment to maintain the highest possible levels of quality.
- Perform in-depth root cause analysis and recommend corrective
action associated with IT Service incident management

- Close audit of adherence to process and process effectiveness

- Lead process development sessions with customer and colleagues

- Shares responsibility for the implementation of tools/processes to
identify, track/report, and resolve all defects.

- Evaluate completeness and effectiveness of software developer unit
tests.

- Responsible for implementation of quality program plan objectives,
metrics, corrective actions, in accordance with established processes and
procedures to ensure compliance with requirements.

- Requirements gathering and analysis to develop the process flow,
business rules and functional rules that are used as benchmarks in the
development process.

- Assist in the continuous improvement and evolution of all QA
practices, policies, and processes.

- Adheres to established configuration management and change
management policies, processes, and procedures.

- Additional responsibilities include facilitating root cause
analysis, supporting design reviews, specifications, plans, customer
deliverables, supporting internal reviews, performing process/product
evaluations and audits, supporting work product inspections, monitoring and
coordinating Corrective Action Requests, support program assessments, and
ensuring product/process compliance.

Required skills:
- In-depth experience in monitoring and auditing CMMI and ITIL
compliance
- In-depth experience in industry standard audit methodologies
- ITIL Foundations V3
- CMMI
- SDLC
- Solid working knowledge of commonly used QA concepts, best
practices, and procedures
- Must have excellent problem analysis, troubleshooting, and
resolution skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Is self-directed and highly motivated
