Role: Principal Of Project Management in Java/J2EE or C#, .Net

Type: Full Time

Salary: Up to $130K+

Required Skills and Competencies:
· 10+ years of strong software development background with a proven track record of success
· Experience with the complete software engineering process - unit testing, source control, continuous build, UML, documentation generation, are all examples.
· Outstanding interpersonal skills. You will need to command the respect of project members and guide them as a player/coach/mentor.
· 5 + years of proven leadership skills and experience leading complex technology projects up to 10 people. Lead by example. Heavy customer contact.
· Either 5+ years of software development using Java/J2EE – Oracle – and related technologies or C# - .Net – SQL Server – and related technologies or a combination of both. Deep understanding of the technologies and a passion to extend and expand that knowledge.
· Strong knowledge of OO techniques
· Must have experience with browser-based applications
· Ability to get up to speed quickly and to learn and apply new technologies
· Experience building custom software with high customer contact a huge plus
· Strong motivation and ability to work in a fast paced team oriented environment
· Outstanding business, communication and customer skills
· Batchelor’s Degree

Principal Should have:
· Extensive professional experience coupled with strong technical skills and demonstrated accomplishments
· Outstanding communications skills
· Deep understanding of what it takes to get projects done on time and on budget. This starts with experience in project management
· Demonstrated success in requirements gathering. Doing this phase of the project right requires a combination of strong technical and interpersonal skills
· Commitment to creating high business value software using iterative, collaborative, quality driven approaches.
· This position involves a leveraged compensation plan, great exposure to customers, and an outstanding opportunity for individuals who can combine strong technical and interpersonal skills.

Position Responsibilities:
The role of “Principal” involves far more than project management. The Principal is the primary interface between the client and the project team. The client expects them to have the same level of technical ability as a Team Leader, but with greater management responsibility, often extending into budget planning, project management, executive level communication and more.

They believe strongly that projects succeed or fail in the requirements gathering phase, and they rely heavily on the Principals to ensure that they “get the right requirements and get the requirements right.”
