Position Responsibilities - Summary:

- The candidate will perform information assurance requirement development, analysis and test of networks, systems, system components and encryption/decryption equipment.

- Effort includes defining and allocating system security requirements to hardware and software.

- The candidate will perform security fault analysis to ensure that the system/equipment meets requirements and make recommendations for increased security based on the analysis.

- The candidate will lead/perform security verification and validation testing of systems and crypto-verification testing of devices.

- The candidate will provide design support to systems, hardware and software team members to ensure that the security requirements are met in the design and implementation.

- Additional responsibilities include supporting new business acquisition and mentoring junior engineers in security/information assurance design and analysis methodology.

- This role is for someone who works at the Box Level not at the Network Level - May have worked at companies like Rockwell-Collins, L-3, or Viasat or similar type firms.

Required Skills and Competencies:

- Minimum of 10 years experience in security requirements definition, analysis and verification

- Certification process and documentation (FSDA, TOC, TDO) for Type 1 Encryption equipment and systems - Documentation generated may include experience with Theory of Compliance (TOC), Theory of Design and Operation (TDO), Fail Safe Design and Analysis (FSDA), Security Verification Test (SVT) Plans/Procedures/Reports, Covert Channel Analysis (CCA), Waveform Software Security Report (WSSR), Key Management Plan (KMP) and Key Specification.

- Cryptographic embedded experience may include systems like the Harris Sierra-II TM, L-3Com Variable Performance Chipset (VPC), and Rockwell Collins Janus.

- Experience in communication protocols, network processors, Power PC processors, key management, & networks

- Technologies utilized may include Public Key INFOSEC (PKI), Benign Fill, Electronic Key Management System (EKMS), FIREFLY, Enhanced FIREFLY, and High Assurance Internet Protocol Encryption (HAIPE) or similar technologies.

- Familiarity with DITSCAP/DIACAP

- Experience with Common Criteria for Information Technology Security Evaluation is required

- Experience in Secure Communication, Command & Control Systems, and the Defense or Aerospace industries required.

- Strong interpersonal communication skills, problem-solving skills and the ability to work in team environment.

- Must have current and active DOD Secret Level Security Clearance or have had it within the last 2 years so it can be reactivated.

- BSCE, BSEE, or BSCS degree
