Job Description:

Reporting to the VP of Development, the Development Associate will be
responsible for the development of solar photovoltaic projects by identifying, developing, and executing appropriate solutions for a wide range of customers. The successful candidate will have origination and transaction experience, strong communication and business skills, and ability to work independently as well as coordinating with the Marketing Communications, Finance, Engineering, and Construction Management groups.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Responsible for supporting senior developers through project generation, management, and execution. Develop projects by defining client needs and identifying appropriate customer program
* Responsibilities will include financial modeling and analysis, new market assessment, technology research, and transaction planning and execution
* Design and prepare financial reports, including sales forecasts and project portfolio status reports
* Catalog renewable legislation by market and perform new market analysis as needed
* Evaluate customer savings propositions by analyzing energy data and utility tariffs
* Prepare client presentations and proposals, including analytics and communication
* Assist in the collection, coordination, and preparation of communication and documentation, including customer contracts and utility applications, during contract execution
* Communicate and influence cross-functionally with all levels of management within Recurrent Energy
* Increase organizational effectiveness by recognizing opportunities for creating processes and systems
* Perform due diligence on projects, sites, and clients as necessary

Qualifications:
* 4 year degree required, MBA a plus
* 4+ years of business experience
* Detailed understanding of energy markets including solar technology,
state incentives, utility rates and tariffs, and/or legislative issues preferred
* Successful track record of developing complex transactions and/or projects (preferably in real estate, sales management, power development, or finance)
* Detail oriented
* Strong client communication and presentation skills
* Ability to summarize complex issues and opportunities and present to internal management team
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including financial modeling experience
* Ability to prioritize tasks and juggle competing deadlines effectively
* Entrepreneurial work ethic
* Comfortable learning about and working in dynamic and rapidly changing renewable energy industry
* Travel as required
