Senior Systems Engineer

Requirements:
- BS Computer Science and minimum 3-8 years industry experience with at least 3 years as an SE, consultant with customer focus, or equivalent experience

- Strong communication skills and must speak English fluently.

- Knowledge of Linux, Unix-style and Microsoft Windows operating systems

- Practical knowledge of JAVA and SOA application architectures, including the technical interactions between the different tiers, protocols involved (for example http, IIOP, JMS, SOAP, etc), and the different design and deployment decisions available.

- Experience in real-world performance analysis and performance tuning including use of leading Java profiling and JAVA performance reporting tools.

- Familiar with data centers and the challenges they are facing and the available solutions.

- Experience in deployment of JAVA enterprise applications, in actual business-critical production environments.

- Familiarity with the administration of JAVA applications servers, including configuration, clustering, persistence management.

- Familiarity with TCP/IP networking, including practical configuration of servers and networks.

- A strong understanding of relational databases, ability to write SQL scripts and to write JAVA programs that call SQL via JDBC. Practical DBA skills are equired.

- Familiarity with at least one leading JAVA IDE.

- Prior experience with Financial Services customers in the New York Metro area a big plus (most important thing is java- if they have FS thatÂ’s great too)

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Promote and educate targeted accounts on the Azul Systems technology.

- Customizes demos to meet customerÂ’s business needs.

- Drive product evaluation process including the definition phase of the evaluation.

- Acts as the primary technical point of contact for their accounts.

- Maps high-level business problems to Azul Systems technology solutions.

- Incorporates third party products in order to provide the customer with a complete solution.

- Conducts technical workshops in order to facilitate a working level of knowledge with the Azul Systems products.

- Assists in defining the technical sales strategy for their accounts.

- Cultivates relationships with customerÂ’s technical staff and their management.

- Tracks customerÂ’s technical issues and escalates to others in Azul Systems, where needed.

- Actively participates in account planning and management as a member of the account team.

- Engages resources when appropriate in the sales cycle, including the Business Units, Product Management,
Engineering, etc., to drive sales.

- Provides product feedback (customer requirements, enhancements, etc.) to appropriate people.

- Identifies new opportunities in their accounts.

- Discusses high-level solution viability and implementation strategies.

- Incorporates competitive data into the sales process.

- Responsible for completion of the technical portions of RFIs/RFPs.

Educational Requirements:
BachelorÂ’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
