Reports to Director of IT.

Position Responsibilities – Summary:

Client is seeking a professional, self-motivated Senior Systems.  Administrator to provide service for MS Windows servers including core OS, IIS, MSQL, plus Oracle. This includes analysis of requirements, research of solutions, development, documentation, deployment, maintenance, upgrades and administration of the above servers and services. Provide technical training and support for junior members of the team and operations staff. Act as technical liaison for the department to provide services and interface with clients and vendors

Detailed Responsibilities:

· Ability to work with limited supervision and provide leadership to junior team members.

· Provide liaison and third level support to user community and other support departments.

· Respond to and resolve all calls received within established time frame or escalate to management for assistance.

· Ability to work effectively with software development groups and implementing new third-party tools.

· Install, configure, and support Windows 2000/3 services including O/S, IIS, MSQL Server 2000/2005 plus Oracle & J2EE.

· Participate in 7×24 on-call support rotation.

· Develop and maintain procedures and processes for the team and clients and conduct training sessions for peers.

· Review and recommend new technology implementations.

· Develop and maintain security on Windows servers.

Required Skills and Competencies:

· 4 Yr. Degree in IS or equivalent.

· MCSE Windows Required – MCTS nice to have – Well versed in Windows Architecture

· SQL Server 2000/2005 – 2005 preferred – SQL Server 2005 Certification a plus.

· Experience with VMWare ESX Server Infrastructure & EMC SAN preferred.

· 5+ years related experience with increasing levels of responsibility with a minimum of 3 years experience in implementation and support of Windows Server/IIS 6.0, and MS SQL server and Oracle required.

· Must have in-depth knowledge of TCP/IP protocol as well as a solid understanding of networking concepts in a distributed LAN/WAN environment (Cisco PIX/ASA, Watchguard, Layer 4 & 7 load balancers, & WAN accelerators)

· In-depth Knowledge of Microsoft IIS, HTML, VB script, and IIS to database connectivity solutions.

· Basic understanding of CGI, Java, ASP, and Active-X implementations.

· Must be dedicated to providing excellent customer service and posses excellent verbal communication skill with strong analytical and problem solving abilities.

· Must be customer service oriented. Able to communicate technical information to non-technical clients while maintaining a positive attitude.

· Experience with Dell servers and hardware highly desirable.
