Senior Manager: Test Development - Servers, San Jose CA

As a Senior Manager of test development, this candidate must be able to direct the activities of the various test teams in the development of functional test platforms for complex systems including high performance servers.

The activities under this person’s supervision will involve:

- Board level test hardware platforms

- System level test hardware platforms

- Board level test software

- System level test software

- Mechanical design related to above

- Thermal design related to above

- System and board level JTAG development

- Electrical engineering

- Software engineering

- Training and documentation

- Release engineering

The candidate will be responsible for leading teams in formulating test strategies, developing test plans and processes as well as executing the development of test platforms including managing projects, budgets, GANNT charts, etc.

The candidate will be expected to manage resources in multiple geographical locations. Direct experience managing large, diverse (geography and skill set) organizations is required.

We are looking for a candidate with a proven track record in developing and managing complex test engineering activities with demonstrated vision and resourcefulness. Knowledge of manufacturing is also very important.

Prior experience on medium to large scale systems with direct knowledge of Sun or IBM software and hardware environments would be valuable. Ideally, the candidate should have prior experience as a senior level system or test engineer.
