We are looking for an intelligent, hard working individual who is self-motivating and self-managing to work on identifying and resolving technically challenging problems in the product code-base.

The responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following areas:

- Java and OS level performance tuning

- Design and Architect product modules

- Manage our China-based engineering team in the development of the product modules

- Identify and resolve product code issues

- Responsible for adherence to engineering processes, schedules and module functionality

As a Senior Engineer, you will be working closely with product management and customers to gather requirements necessary to continue the development of our product. We require someone

who can continue to develop, test, and support our existing run-time and content processing modules. Also we would prefer someone who has a strong interest in natural language processing or search. Ideal candidate will have the right experience to participate and actively contribute in the product architect discussions, while independently design and manage significant modules.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Computer Science

- 7-10 years of industry experience working in enterprise software applications a must

- Product life-cycle experience a must, including Architecture/ Design, Product Development and QA Testing processes and procedures

- Experience with large scale and performance driven product implementations

- Significant experience with Java, Java libraries

- Experience working with several web architectures and tools (including IIS, Weblogic, Websphere)

- Familiarity with scripting languages (Perl, shell scripting, ASP, _Javascript, etc.)

- Working experience with Linux, Windows and Solaris environment

Also:
- Enthusiasm for learning and mastering new technology

- Strong communication skills, including ability to work with other engineers (in-house and outsourced), customers, product management, engineers, sales and support

- Knowledge of Java tuning strongly preferred

- Chinese speaking skills (not necessary), but desirable

- Software Build processes or Database management skills desirable
