Job: Senior Director of QA - Silicon Valley

Responsibilities:
- Establish QA process and guidelines for enterprise product lines.
- Contribute to the definition and implementation of product development processes, and specifically QA processes.
- Establish Company-wide QA metrics for product quality and QA effectiveness.
- Define overall automation strategy
- Contribute to the continuous improvement for product quality initiatives.
- Analyze and report QA test results, project tracking and product release readiness from the various QA teams.
- Understand and perform risk mitigation to meet deadlines.
- Ability to influence development organizations within the organization.
- Represent QA in customer meetings.
- Evangelize process changes to positively impact product quality
Requirements:
- 15 yrs of QA experience at a software company with experience in qualifying hardware/SW platforms (NOT Database or applications companies)
- 10-15 years of recent experience in leading/managing software QA teams across geographies.
- Previous experience in managing QA managers and their teams.
- Experience in testing large-scale Enterprise software, with preference going to individuals with a background in Operating Systems.
- Experience in bringing TEST automation to a fast growing company.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with an aptitude for directing quality assurance engineers and analysts along with a proven history of making product lifecycle process improvements.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and to execute with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated skill in using initiative and knowledge in testing efforts.
- Ability to motivate people, instill accountability, and achieve results.
Education
BSCS or a related engineering discipline required; MSCS preferred.
