Release Engineer/Staff Release Engineer

Responsibilities:
-Responsible for build and deployment phases of software development cycle.

-Define, document & drive the implementation of best practices in configuration management.

-Manage versioning and branching of source code.

-Use maven/ant/perl to author & maintain build scripts for Java/J2EE based products.

-Create and manage automated build environment.

-Deploy application in test and production environements.

-Coordinate release to production processes with operations team.

-Maintain bug tracking system and other software development life cycle tools.

Education Requirement:
-BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar technical degree.

Qualifications:
-5+ years experience as release engineer working with Java/J2EE based enterprise products.

-Experience working with CVS or similar source code control systems.

-Experience with Maven and/or ANT

-Experience with Perl and Shell scripting.

-Experience working with RedHat Linux and Windows.

-Excellent verbal and written technical communication skills essential.

-Experience with deploying Siebel applications desirable
