Summary:
The Quality Assurance Automation Test Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and performing tests to accurately assess the quality of projects designed to reduce the client - visible impact of failure events in NetApp storage clusters.
Responsibilities include:
-Working closely with development engineers to identify and prioritize areas for testing; develop test plans, develop automated tests, execute tests, and document test results.
-Work closely with development engineers to understand the expected behavior and potential failure modes of new software under development.
-Design, build and execute automated tests using Perl and other Unix utilities.
-Assist performance analysts with identifying and characterizing changes in performance.
Qualifications:
-BSCS or related field, or equivalent required; MSCS or related field desired.
-2-3 years of experience developing and executing automated testing of complex enterprise applications.
-Proficiency in Perl (preferred) or other scripting languages.
-Solid understanding of UNIX kernel, IO and/or file system concepts.
-Demonstrated commitment to delivery of high-quality solutions to problems.
-Knowledge/education in file system and/or storage protocols (NFS, CIFS, iSCSI, and FCP).
