Project Manager – Energy Software Implementations

If the person is out of MA, then they must be willing to spend considerable time in VA for the first few months for training and coaching. In addition, it is preferable that the person has Energy or Utility Industry experience.

Position Responsibilities:
Client is seeking a high-energy, customer-focused Project Manager to join their Professional Services team. They are looking for dynamic people who truly appreciate delivering high-quality system implementations to ensure satisfied customers.

As an experienced Project Manager you will be required to lead implementations of the firm’s innovative enterprise software products. You will work collaboratively with a team of system engineers, business analysts, developers and other project managers. The firm takes great pride in providing their clients with world-class implementations and are looking for people that share their commitment to excellence.

Reports to Director Professional Services.

Detailed Responsibilities:
- Work closely with customers and the implementation team to deliver successful implementations

- Gather business and functional requirements

- Prepare functional designs of product interfaces, configurations and customizations

- Perform data analysis

- Prepare test plans

- Manage project staff including business/system analysts and system engineers

- Manage customer interactions and ensure satisfaction while minimizing project risk

- Manage implementation schedules to ensure on-time delivery

- Take responsibility for financial aspects of projects to guarantee on-budget delivery

Required Skills and Competencies:
- Bachelors degree required; advanced degree preferred

- 2-4+ years of directly relevant experience managing the implementation of complex software applications

- Big 4 or other major consulting firm experience strongly preferred

- Experience implementing data-intensive software systems in an enterprise environment

- Client-facing experience a must

- Demonstrated verbal, written, and presentation skills and strong analytical skills

- Familiarity with relational databases, such as Oracle and SQL Server – able to query db using PL/SQL

- Energy/Utility industry experience highly desirable

- Travel required – At times could be up to 40%

- somewhat higher if out of MA – Client manages this carefully as considerable work can be done via remote access to client. Mostly East Coast.

Compensation:
Up to $110K DOE + Bonus + Comprehensive Benefits
