Job Summary
The NFS/Oracle Product Manager will be responsible for the success of Oracle running on NFS on NetApp products.

Essential Functions
Specific responsibilities include development of the business case, market requirements, product definition, and roadmap planning. This individual will manage all phases of the product lifecycle, and will be the ‘face’ behind the product - engage with the sales, marketing, services, engineering, partner/alliance managers to drive activities at NetApp and Oracle that ensure business success of the product.

This individual will work especially closely with the Product Marketing Manager and Technical Marketing team to promote the value of the product via effective sales tools. This individual will be responsible for competitive positioning of the product.

Required Skills
-Strong understanding and technical knowledge about Database market and technologies.

-Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with prospects and customers including the ability to actively listen, to comprehend, and communicate their business and technical needs and the ability to address these needs from a customer centric point of view.

-Demonstrated ability to be a thought leader on both business and technical issues related to products and markets. Ability to think strategically, analytically and be creative.

-Team player with strong communications, interpersonal, persuasive and negotiation skills. Thinks collaboratively and communicates effectively with people at all levels. Ability to instill a sense of shared vision.

-Proficiency in both inbound product management and out bound product-marketing functions.

-Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to create and deliver compelling presentations to diverse audiences including executive management, prospects, customers, salespeople, engineering and partners. Ability to create compelling product literature and sales tools.

-Entrepreneurial drive and strong work ethic, self-motivated, results oriented and demonstrated ability to add value and succeed in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated ability to execute as an individual contributor and willingness to do what it takes to achieve objectives.

Education
MBA or advanced technical degree a plus, with 5+ years experience in IT industry with development or deployment of databases, file systems, storage systems, or enterprise applications.
