Principal Engineer - File System

Our client is located in the San Jose, CA area. We are seeking candidates for the following position:

Job Responsibility/Summary:
Design, develop and support File System - related software. Participate in all team functions within the File System group and cross functional group within Engineering. Provide guidance to junior engineers on software development and file system designs. Work with the engineering managers to deliver products within the committed schedule for new projects

Essential Functions:
Design, develop and document major features for our client’s journaling file system and their next generation file system. Work with test engineering to fix issues found by internal testing and by customers.

Job Specifications:
- Minimum Education: BS or MS in Computer Science

- Minimum Experience: 10 - 15 years of related industry experience

- Knowledge: File Systems, Storage Systems, Software Development

- Analytical/Interpersonal Skills: Both are extremely important
