Job: Part-time Webmaster
September 3rd, 2005Part-time webmaster
I have a client who’s looking for a part-time webmaster, who will work a minimum of 15 hours/week (it could be more for the right person) on site in North San Jose. The hourly rate is attractive. Here are the basic skills they need:
- familiarity with FrontPage; can also use DreamWeaver or other app of their choice.
- solid Photoshop skills.
- some time in the saddle as a webmaster.
- some experience with direct marketing & managing email lists.
- efficiency.
- experience in a corporate environment.
- good interpersonal skills.
Big pluses:
- ability to do HTML coding.
- experience developing animated gifs.
- some page design ability (don’t need to be a full-on designer, tho).
- Flash experience and ability to create a relatively simple Flash-based microsite.
- some knowledge of the semiconductor industry (not essential, but helpful).
If you or someone you know is interested, please send me an email and I’ll pass on those that best fit their needs. The client’s environment is a bit unusual in that the corporate website is managed and hosted elsewhere.
The local webmaster will only need to handle some intranet and extranet pages, create landing pages for campaigns and events, and define updates needed to the corporate site that are sent to HQ to implement. However, having Flash and some design skills will expand the available projects and lead to more consulting hours.
