Our client is a respected, profitable firm in Silicon Valley; They need an Operations Manager who will lead Master scheduling and the Analyst Team.
The ideal candidate is an individual who has a proven record of success in building a high caliber demand planning team in a dynamic and fast - paced computer hardware environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage creation of monthly demand forecasts- Interface with Sales, Marketing, and Product Management to capture event and demand information, document assumptions, and coordinate validation of monthly forecasts.
- Manage, prioritize, and coordinate Demand Planning team resources and activities.
- Develop and drive long-range vision and roadmap to incorporate demand planning best-practice process and technical improvements.
- Develop, implement, and manage forecast performance metrics & reporting tools.
- Build cross-functional relationships to improve quality of demand plan inputs and plan execution.
- Manage the process of ensuring data integrity within firm’s Oracle ERP system with respect to Engineering and Manufacturing Change activity.
A strong understanding of supply - chain strategy, manufacturing systems, and business intelligence tools is a must.
- Manage a team of master schedulers and operations analysts
- Facilitate the Sales and operations planning process across multiple business units.
- Develop and publish key forecast accuracy metrics.
- Successfully lead cross-functional project teams to accomplish operations and supply chain objectives.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of managing a forecasting/demand planning team.
- A strong working knowledge of configure - to - order manufacturing environments, experience dealing with contract manufacturers, and global business practices including complex supply chain planning.
- Ability to lead a sales and operations planning process across a multi-business unit environment
- Knowledge of Document Control processes and inputs (PCO, ECO, LCO, and MCO).
- Prior experience within a fast - paced high-tech environment is desirable=
- Working knowledge of Oracle 11i ERP is desirable particularly MRP and Document Control.
- Proven management and formal project planning experience for cross-functional efforts.
- Thorough knowledge of Business Intelligence applications and software applications in demand management and forecasting with working knowledge of analytical techniques, including computer models and statistical evaluation systems.
- APICS/CPIM encouraged Education: Ideal candidate will possess a BS in a business related discipline.
