Our client is a premier, public, profitable company in Silicon Valley. They are seeking a software QA Manager
Responsibilities
Candidate is responsible for driving and managing the testing of File Systems protocols related to Storage products. The QA manager should provide strong leadership in all aspects of software testing functions, strategic planning and their implementation. He/she will be responsible for
people, technology, and test management through the entire SW lifecycle process from requirements gathering through product release.
Responsibilities include management of in-house software testing efforts, as well as definition and management of potential partner co-testing and validation activities.
Manage and lead a software team in the testing and validation of Management and coordination of test activities in the protocol networking areas
Manage all aspects of software testing lifecycle from requirements
definition through development, validation, Release and sustaining
engineering support.
Interact with distributed cross-organizational teams, partner companies, and
external vendors, as appropriate, to bring high quality product releases to
market on time in a predictable manner.
Requirements:
Applicants should have 10 years of successful engineering experience with at
least 3 years of Engineering management experience, a strong software
testing ability and a demonstrable focus on software quality, preferably in
an area related to Manageability, Unix/Windows kernel testing, file systems,
NAS, TCP/IP based network protocols.
The candidate should have experience working in a US-based company and
coordinating projects across continents.
Effective verbal and written communication, inter-team influence and
negotiation skills are also mandatory.
Proven ability to build QA teams from ground zero and both follow and lead
within projects
Proven ability to successfully drive conflict resolution to support the best
interests of the company
The ideal candidate will posses a combination of strong technical skills and
outstanding software project management abilities.
Desired Skills
BS and/or MS in a technical discipline/computer Science
