One of our clients is seeking an experienced HW engineer, with strong skills
in LOGIC DESIGN, SIGNAL INTEGRITY, and interface to CHIP/DISK DRIVE
SUPPLIERS.

Sr. Hardware Engineer For our client, a public company in San Jose, CA:

Position Description:

The individual will be responsible for complete hardware projects from
conception to manufacturing release. Projects will include system
architecture/definition, reviewing logic and analog design, compliance
testing, manufacturing support, and managing outside contractors.

The successful candidate must be a self starter capable of working
independently, have excellent communication skills, and be a solid team
player, motivated, goal oriented, able to work with top-notch team in a
fast-paced environment.

Support operations in Failure Analysis, and provide corrective action
recommendations.

Requirements:

Responsible in defining Client’s next generation platform requirements
including:

- Defining Hardware architecture

- Test plan definition for both proto and pilot phases of development cycles

- Holding schematic capture, layout, and mechanical design reviews and
recommendations

- Leading design for manufacturing reviews and recommendations

- Meet target reliability requirements

The following technical experience are a must:

- Experience in high speed design and signal integrity

- Generating detailed technical hardware specifications

- Thorough understanding of thermal analysis

- Familiarity with Lab equipment, and the ability to debug to a component
level.

- Ability to perform logic design/programming

Responsible for interfacing with major technology suppliers (chipset,
processor, Disk drive, memory, network, etc) to understand roadmap and plan
for upcoming supplier product upgrades.

Individual will be responsible to present a quarterly technology roadmap for
each.

Responsible for project management including managing system development at
a contract manufacture and/or 3rd party engineering services Key Position
Tasks

- Run the system performance/benchmarking across the product line using
standard software tools

- Manufacturing support including release documentation, ECO creation, 2nd
source component approval, NPI support, troubleshooting system to component
level.

- Compliance Engineering including, regulatory debug and testing, safety
testing, and/or Factory inspection

- Interface to the Change Control Board (CCB) and responsible for hardware
engineering approval for change orders.

Desired Skills:

BSEE and/or MSEE
