Director of Staffing, EMC Corporation

Candidate will have a proven track record as a senior level executive and will have demonstrated experience building and managing high performing staffing organizations. Recent successful experience in building and leading talent acquisition organizations who acquire “A level Talent”. This individual will have experience scaling organizations and businesses in rapid growth environments, will have proven strategic and innovation skills, ideally from the position of a market leader. Strong understanding and network in the IT industry is required.

Position Description
The Director will serve as a key member of the executive team, responsible for supporting the rapid scaling of the business, implementing the Company’s overall recruiting strategy for North America and Canada, and continuing the company’s position as the leader in information lifecycle management. They will be accountable for driving the overall hiring targets and ensuring that customer satisfaction is paramount.

The Director will need to ensure delivery of a clear, consistent message to customers and prospects directly and through the company’s various recruiting channels in order to promote the culture and value proposition of the organization to support the achievement of the organizations goals and objectives.

Responsibility
-Collaboration and coordination between all groups and other EMC organizations, as related to recruiting activities and strategies.

-Defining, articulating and helping to insure execution of a comprehensive recruiting framework for EMC

-Driving capabilities throughout EMC’s recruiting organizations in a consistent manner

-Direct and monitor annual budgets and operating plans.

-Provide timely, in-depth and comprehensive forecasts, projections and data to senior management.

-Keep up to date with marketplace changes, competitor information and changes within the industry.

-Develop and maintain strong working relationships with senior management

-Coach, counsel, and develop direct reports.

-Work with all levels in the organization to identify, analyze and solve problems.

-Create opportunities for continuous improvement of processes and tools to achieve objectives.

-Act as liaison between the company and the customer to foster customer intimacy, including travel to/from face to face meetings.

Qualifications:
-Recent successful experience in changing and building high performing recruitment Teams
Current knowledge of HR recruitment applications that drive performance, reduce cost and increase HR productivity

-Strong knowledge of Brassring, Peoplesoft, SAP, etc.

-Ability to develop and report on key workforce trends, metrics and measures that reflect value of HR function

-Successful experience in collaborating and supporting global operations and colleagues

-Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations governing global EMCs policies for the acquisition of Talent

-Demonstrated ability to develop highly effective relationships with Sr. Business leaders by being responsive and always delivering on commitments.

-Process improvement driven philosophy on driving change

-Willingness to travel as necessary

-Ten years or more of recruiting experience, 5+ years of managing teams.

-Strong track record with developing high performing teams and leaders/managers.

-Ability to work in a team oriented management environment and to help identify and solve problems.

-Leverage resources optimally to maximize value to the client and maximize rate of return to the business.

-Use own initiative to achieve exponential improvement and competitive advantage.

-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including highly effective written and oral delivery.

-Energetic, versatile and strategically oriented agent of change.

Educational Background: At minimum, a bachelor degree is required a Masters degree is desirable.
