Director of Quality Assurance.

Job Function:
Funk Software is seeking a senior, but very technical, Director of Quality Assurance reporting directly to the Vice President of Engineering to direct the testing efforts across several products.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and leadership skills, be capable of understanding new and complex technologies and products quickly, and be very proficient at test planning and execution.

The Director of Quality Assurance will build a dynamic and adaptive organization and drive a collaborative working relationship between QA and development.

Responsibilities:
-Building a QA organization that meets the dynamic needs of Funk Software.

-Preparing estimates and schedules for QA work.

-Managing Release Engineering and Test Automation.

-Tracking and maintaining schedules and resolving conflicts.

-Managing testing efforts to ensure quality, on-time releases.

-Assisting with analysis of complex bugs.

-Designing a QA process and testing methodology.

-Communicating status of testing to VP of Engineering and Product Management.

Determining resource requirements, including staffing and test equipment on an on-going basis.

-Setting and dynamically recalibrating testing priorities with Product Development and Product Management.

Qualifications:
-At least 8 years of management experience, including hiring and performance appraisal.

-At least 10 years of experience in QA and product testing.

-Proficiency in one or more scripting languages.

-Understanding of Windows and/or Linux networking architecture.

-Experience with databases and SQL.

-Familiarity with security protocols such as RADIUS and 802.1x and PKI (Public Key Infrastructure).

-Minimum of BS in Computer Science or equivalent degree.
