Director of Channel Sales

My client is a fast growing venture-backed startup in the Business Intelligence space and has developed a unique solution for Operational Performance Management. The company is led by an experienced management team and has several brand name customers who have deployed the company’s software in a variety of performance management applications.

We are now conducting a search for a Director of Channel Sales reporting to the VP of Worldwide Sales. The position is based in mid-peninsula, San Francisco bay area and offers competitive cash and equity compensation.

Experience:
-10+ years successful enterprise software sales with 5 years managing channel sales (SIs, VARs, consultants, OEMs)

-Sales-oriented, quota-carrying channels leader with experience building partner networks for a start-up

-International experience in Europe, Asia and Solutions marketing experience in Financial Services and Manufacturing a plus

-Target companies: Applications companies - SAP, Siebel, Oracle (applications), PeopleSoft, JD Edwards and Business Intelligence companies (min. 5 years experience) - Business Objects, Cognos, Hyperion, Informatica

-Start-up experience a must

-Experience working with both 1st tier (IBM, Deloitte, E&Y) and 2nd tier/regional partners

Responsibilities:

-Exceed quota

-Recruit and manage partners to drive sales

-Develop, maintain and execute a channel sales business plan in line with the company’s goals

-Drive incremental sales through OEM relationships at a field level

-Work effectively with field organization
