This Data Analyst/IT Planning Analyst position is a critical planning and tracking role to ensure that enterprise application installation projects are successful.
This is a Short-Term position in South San Francisco to support a well-respected established corporation.
Start Date: asap.
Duration: 6 Months.
Job Function:
1. This senior-level IT Planning Analyst will be responsible for designing and maintaining ongoing budgeting, long-range planning and project-level variance reporting processes in a rapidly growing corporate IT organization.
2. This individual will work to drive the IT organization to meet key financial targets and measure progress toward those targets. The IT Planning Analyst will work closely with IT leadership team as well the Finance department to improve financial proc esses and reporting.
3. The role involves use of Niku, Adaytum and Lawson, as well as Brio, so experience with these or similar project planning & financial systems would be preferable. The role may additionally involve participation in the implementation of ERP functio nality for use by the Corporate IT department.
4. The IT Planning Analyst may perform additional strategic planning, resource management and/or performance management responsibilities as assigned.
Primary Skills:
Activity-based accounting, MS Excel including pivot tables, and PowerPoint.
Skills and Knowledge required:
1. At least 3 years progressively responsible experience in Financial Management of an IT organization or IT department.
2. Experience in budgeting and activity-based accounting a must.
3. Significant expertise in MS Excel and PowerPoint, and experience with Lawson & Adaytum, or similar enterprise-level financial systems, required.
4. Experience in implementing financial and/or strategic planning processes in an IT environment preferred.
Education:
-Bachelors degree in Finance, Business, MIS or related field.
-Advanced degree and consulting experience preferred.
