The Veterans Administration (VA), Office of Information and Technology
(OI&T), Veterans Health Information Technology (VHIT) is responsible for the
Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS) program.  The Health Provider
Systems (HPS) program’s purpose is to provide maintenance and enhancements
in the CPRS program, including maintenance of and minor enhancements to CPRS
program deliverables.  The CPRS program supports all products assigned to
the CPRS program.  These products include: CPRS (legacy), VistaWeb, Care
Management, Emergency Department Information Systems, CLIO - Nursing
Clinical Flowsheets, Shift Hand-off tool, Anticoagulation and others.
Current projects projected to update these products are: CPRS Development
(CPRS v28), Clinical Reminders, VistaWeb, Care Management Security Fixes,
Progress Notes Display Misleading, Emergency Department/Bed Management
System, Allergy Assessment Screen Link, TIU Line Count and CPRS Patient
Markers, Clinical Flow Sheets - CLIO, Progress Notes Misleading, Integrated
Medications Manager, and High Risk Mental Health Patient National Reminder.
These maintenance and enhancements efforts ensure these applications
continue to provide effective support to clinicians in delivering care.
This project supports development of new functionality and enhancements of
the CPRS applications.  Development of software will be done in HeV and
VistA environments using Mumps, Delphi, web and/or Java programming
languages on SQA and UAT systems.

JOB DESCRIPTION/SCOPE: The candidate will be a member of a team dedicated to
the analysis, development and use of this Computerized Patient Record System
(CPRS) that provides discovery, analysis, and documentation, development of
solutions and recommendations, and present findings for improvement across
the scope of the program.  The Analyst will collect, analyze, and manage the
CPRS client software development requirements and will ensure that the
requirements are feasible, constraints are maintained and solutions fulfill
client requirements. The Analyst will ensure the deliverables are clear,
concise and complete while following all organizational directives.  The
Analyst will participate in documentation, deliverable reviews, artifact
reviews and provide activity reporting.

REQUIRED EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems (or related
field) or equivalent and 8-12 years related experience. Minimum five years
of experience as a Business Functional Analyst.  Candidate MUST pass Public
Trust (Moderate) security requirements, which will require either US citizen
or US person (green card holder).  Prior experience in Healthcare and/or
prior experience with the Veterans Administration environment is mandatory
