Ceramics Quality Manager in Northern California

Salary: $75,000

Manage QA inspectors ISO/QS systems, quality improvement projects
In this hands-on position, you will develop, implement and manage CAC Quality Systems and processes in accordance with ISO-9002 and QS9000 requirements. Supervise the Quality Assurance function including all inspection and calibration activities. Manage all key quality programs including document control, quality records, corrective action, vendor evaluation, calibration, inspector qualification etc. Manage internal and external audits, serving as lead auditor and primary point of contact for external auditors. Implement SPC throughout facility.

Must possess a four-year college degree in engineering or similar technical discipline; 5 or more years of quality systems management experience; extensive experience in dimensional inspection techniques; and strong supervisory, communication and computer skills. ASQ Quality Engineer and Auditor certification a plus; structural ceramics experience highly desired
Ceramic Engineering Manager - $80,000 - manage Material Preparation & development, manage 2-3 technicians

The ideal candidate will be a Ceramics Materials Engineer with at least 5 years of demonstrated experience in oxide ceramics with 3 - 5 years in a supervisory or management role. In this hands-on position, youâ?Tll lead critical projects related to ceramics material development as well as process development and improvement. Youâ?Tll also be responsible for research and development of new materials and material capabilities.

Requires BS in Materials Sciences, Ceramic Engineering or related discipline required. M.S. in Material Science or Ceramics a plus. Outstanding project management and interpersonal communication skills required.
