Position Summary:
Manage the AutoCAD API Writers for AutoCAD Developer Products and other Autodesk products. Manage the development of tools that support UI and API content development. Write developer documentation and develop tools. Create schedules that are coordinated with the software development team and ensure schedules are met with high quality content. This role requires an individual with strong leadership skills who is focused on customer requirements.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Define, manage, and communicate the long and short-term strategies for developing and delivering high quality, on-time API documentation.
- Resource AutoCAD projects including XML, DTD, and XSL development and developer documentation.
- Manage staff and contractors, deliverables, and staff & professional development.
- Develop and maintain schedules, estimates, and resource plans.
- Define priorities, identify risks, create and communicate risk management strategies.
- Represent PTD as needed on both PTD and cross-divisional development teams.
- Write developer documentation and develop tools to support content development.
- Research tools and technologies.
